The most cheerful little bird around is the Eastern Bluebird. It is colorful and interesting. I enjoy seeing the bright blue orange and buff birds. They are here in a small flock. They eagerly try to hunt for various bugs. I appreciate their hunting efforts as they control spiders, grubs, and other unwelcome little visitors to the porch and lawn. So I am very happy to have these birds here. I took these pictures on various days in the last few weeks here in the yard and from my dining room windows. It was very cold and overcast out on many of the days when I had taken these pictures. Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture. Enjoy!

I’ve become a bit of a bird watcher along the Florida rivers, and I appreciated and enjoyed your beautiful descriptions and pictures!
Love your pretty bluebirds, keep them coming. I am missing mine!
Saw a couple of Blues at my feeders this morning. They are always so beautiful –no matter what season of the year.
Hugs,
Betsy
THey are probably the best insect control method around, and certainly the prettiest!
