Just another WordPress.com weblog about Nature and Wildlife

The Yellow Rumped Warbler is a small colorful sparrow like bird that lives way way up in the crown of the trees.  I took these photographs in my backyard Hickory and Oak trees yesterday afternoon.  It was sprinkling out and was very windy.  The Yellow Rumped Warblers flitted around the trees looking for insects to munch on.  The Warblers are new to me and this is the first flock of Yellow Rumped Warblers that have been here since I moved here last Summer.  I believe that these birds are migrating North for the Summer.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger version of that photograph.  Enjoy!

What sweet little birds! I loved your post, I hadn’t been able to read your blog for a while. (My computer broke down.)
