neat that you get the towhees! love those singing mockers…

    • Hi TexWisGirl, What was especially surprising to me was that this Northern Mockingbird actually came to the bird feeder and sat on the porch rail. The Towhee was the first I had seen here at the farm and it was in the woods in front near the street. Have a wonderful day today!

  2. I’ve seen only one Towhee and thought it was a robin at first.

    • Hi Ginny, The Towhees are big robust, and Robin-like in shape, that is for sure, but they do have a white chest and black back. Have a great evening and a super Thursday tomorrow!

  3. Great birds, Linda! The Towhee is one of my favorites.

    • Hi Eileen, I was surprised by this bird as it was in the shade. Once I looked at the pictures, I knew what bird it was. I like the Towhees a lot! Have a wonderful Thursday tomorrow!

  4. We have a tuffed titmouse that has been coming and sitting on the front porch and looking in the door several days in a row. It seems to like watching us.

  5. The titmouse looks like he was giving one of those complaining-type calls they give- love their vocalizations!

  6. We have Towhees and Robins here but not the others. I wish we did! Ireally miss the mockingbirds!
