Cotton-tailed Rabbits have begun to make themselves at home in the grassy areas around the little farm here. Cotton-tailed Rabbits are medium-sized Rabbits. They are a tan color with large brown eyes. They have white on their undersides and have a fluffy, round, white tail that resembles a Cotton ball. They like to graze on the White Clover and tender grasses in the shady area near the front-end of the place here.
There are adjacent woods where the bunnies can hide from predators and people. Rabbits eat plants, grasses, grains, and some fruits. So far, they have happily for me, left the garden veggies alone. The Rabbits are mostly out in the late afternoon and evening. They don’t like being in the heat and sun very much. They live in underground burrows or under piles of branches. I took these pictures last week here at my home. I enjoy seeing the bunnies here. Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture. Enjoy!

Hi Linda, My best friend is visiting in Western Texas and talked recently about seeing some hares…. That made me look up the difference in a hare and a rabbit. I knew that the hare was larger –but didn’t know that rabbits live underground and hares live above ground. Interesting, isn’t it?
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Betsy, I learned something new. Thanks! When I was little I had an Albino bunny that my Dad had found running loose in the neighborhood. I had it for a long while and loved it but it escaped. Have a super good day and another great one tomorrow. Keep your eye on the weather later.
Love these photos. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Linda, Thanks for commenting and welcome! I just now visited your nice blog. Touching and sweet post on elderly. We have much in common though we live in different places. Thanks again for your nice comment. I hope you’ll visit again.
at least they’re respecting your garden! such cuties. 🙂
Hi TexWisGirl, So far, ski good : ). Hope that lasts. Have a super fantastic day!
They are really cute. When we come upon one, he freezes. One year I planted carrots just for the rabbits!
Hi Ginny, How sweet of you. You have a heart for the wildlife as do the other wildlife-watching folks! Have a wonderful evening and a super nice Friday tomorrow!
It’s sure nice to have them around! We had some with us most of the winter, but they must have moved on now, though they might just have moved a little ways into the brushy canyon. Yesterday I got a good close look at some varying hares, a real treat!
Hi Montucky, Neat that you may have some around still. I am wild about the wildlife! Have a really fine day tomorrow!
Linda, the bunnies are so cute. You got some great shots. The bunnies around here are very timid.
