A Very Young Cotton-tailed Rabbit

White-breasted Nuthatch

Northern Yellow-shafted Flicker

A Carolina Chickadee, a White-breasted Nuthatch, a pair of Northern Yellow-shafted Flickers and a lone baby Cotton-tailed Rabbit were some of the many examples of wildlife that I saw in my yards on a hot, humid, off-and-on rainy day on August 9, 2012.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture.  Enjoy!

nice showy yellow on the flicker flight shot. i really like the green backdrop on those 2 photos.

    • Hi Theresa, Thanks! The green is the cow pasture across the pond which shows really strongly in the picture. Yes, the flicker’s yellow feather shafts do stand out. Have a great day and a wonderful Sunday tomorrow!

  2. Your photo of the white-breasted nuthatch reminded me that I think I saw one here for the first time today, a pair actually. It was just a brief look though. Very pretty little birds!

  3. Great birds, The flicker shot showing the beautiful yellow is a great capture.
