Bluebirds and Canada Geese

I was out in the yard early last evening trying to take some pictures of the wildlife, but did not see many birds or other critters out and about.  There had been a lot of loud noises in neighboring yards so I probably chose a bad moment to go try to do any wildlife photography.  Oh well.  I did see a few beautiful Eastern Bluebirds which were perched on electric  lines and also in the crown of one of the Oaks near the pond.  That tree is gradually losing leaves so it makes it easier to see the birds now as opposed to when thick foliage hides the birds from view.

I also saw two Canada Geese who were trying to get out of the pond and away from all the noise around here.  I took these pictures early yesterday evening in my yard.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture.  Enjoy!

i’m sure fall will bring a few wingers in to settle on the pond on the way through.

  2. Hi Linda, Our Bluebirds haven’t been around nearly as much since they had all of their babies. Hopefully, they’ll start coming back to the feeders when the cooler temps get here…

Had a couple of sprinkles of rain early this morning.. NOTHING else–darn it.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  3. I love your Bluebirds, great shots. Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Those geese have a good place to visit. I’ve seen a lot more of them in this area the past several weeks.
