Sunset Views of Birds & Geese

Not much has been going on around here in the past few days.  The birds are migrating, and the weather is windy so not much to see.  I was out with the camera last evening at dusk and saw the ever so interesting and reliable, “Hank Heron” at the far shore of the pond.  A small group of Common Crows were perched in a dead Oak in the cow pasture across the way.  I also found a few House Finches perching on taller native plants (also known as weeds).

An Eastern Bluebird was perched on the electric line and the highlight of all of my photo adventure in the yard, was the migrating flock of Canada Geese.  I am seeing more and more of the Canada Geese coming overhead.  Likely going farther South.  I enjoy seeing the flocks in flight.  I hope you enjoy seeing them virtually, too.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture.  Enjoy!

  1. The bluebirds do seem to like to perch on the electric lines. Love the geese flight shots. Have a happ Sunday!

  2. I like the way the sunset colors the geese. I wonder if Hank will stay around all winter. If not, You will miss him!
