Just another WordPress.com weblog about Nature and Wildlife

Hank the Great Blue Heron was watching the Crows and that Red-tail Hawk fighting two days ago.  I took the pictures here during all that action.  The Canada Geese left the pond because of all of the fuss.  Hank however, was calm cool, collected and stood there hoping everything would quiet down.  He finally just strode over from the pasture to the rushes and reeds at the shore and waited everything out.  He finally went back to doing what he usually does, which is fishing.  I took these pictures in my yard on Sept. 8, 2012.

Today,  like many, I am remembering those lost eleven years ago.  I am praying for the families and friends of the victims.  Always remember.

  3. Hank is not worried about the silly crow and hawk. He knows what is important. Great shots. Have a lovely day.
