The Eastern Bluebird is the focus of today’s post.  I took these pictures last week in my back yard.  To enjoy the all-Bluebird extravaganza, please click on each thumbnail image.

  1. It’s interesting to see them around houses. The ones here stay up by the hayfields and meadows, only occasionally coming near the house. Sure are pretty little things!

    • Hi Montucky, Maybe the Bluebirds here in the East are used to higher population density – where I live the backyards are very small and the buildings are almost next to each other. Perhaps birds in areas of wide-open spaces and fewer people around, are less likely to disregard folks as much. Who can say? Thanks for your great comment! Have a wonderful day!

  2. I love your pretty bluebirds! Lovely shots! I hope you are having a great week!

  3. Good pictures! If it were not for his blue back, he would look a bit like a young robin!

  4. These are always a treat to see, great photos!

  5. Hi Linda, Glad you have some beautiful Bluebirds down there. Do you have a nestbox nearby for them??? I’ve enjoyed ours so much….

    Great photos.

    • Hi Betsy, No, but two close neighbors here do. The yard between the buildings is not very large and we don’t generally have fences, so we all seem to enjoy each other’s yard accessories – including bird houses. Have a super good day tomorrow!
