Crows at the Pond

DSC_5301

Crows were seen at the larger rainfall retention basin pond here in the development where I live on Oct. 23, 2014.  The Crows were hunting for tadpoles, and tasty insects.  They were there at the pond along with the Killdeer and Lesser Yellowlegs.  I always enjoy watching Crows.  Crows are amazing and quite smart!  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture.  Enjoy!

  1. i like that balanced landing on the bottom center shot. 🙂

  2. Great series on the Crow. They are smart birds.. Have a great evening!

  3. Interesting birds. I’ve found that where they seem to congregate there is something happening.

  4. I enjoy watching the crows.. They really are smart birds… They will come into our yard –and sometimes I throw birdseed out there for them. But they will not come to the deck/feeders… Guess that is too close for them!!!!! They can make a lot of noise though!!!! ha

  5. Hi all, I drove by this pond this afternoon and found it bone dry. So, I am glad I got these pictures! Hopefully it will rain in coming days and we will again be seeing birds at our rainfall retention basin ponds – Wildlifewatcher.
