Just another WordPress.com weblog about Nature and Wildlife

This Sharp Shinned Hawk was perched on an electric line with several Common Crows on day recently.  This bird was seen in one of the newer neighborhoods here in the development where I live.

By the time we got the truck turned around and parked, all but one of the crows had left the scene.  The hawk nervously looked toward the remaining crow and me.  I got the snap shots before the hawk had enough and flew off.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger picture.  Enjoy!

  1. beautiful shots!

    • Hi Theresa, I was quite lucky to get the picture. Unusual to see Crows with the Hawk since often the Crows gang up and chase the birds of prey away. Have a nice weekend!

  2. Beautiful pictures! It’s so much easier when the birds sit still, isn’t it?

  3. Awesome shots of the Hawk! They are cool birds!

  4. In the center bottom photo it looks as though the hawk was posing for you! Nice sot!
