Here are some of the ducks I have spotted in the last several weeks in Marion County, Florida.  I saw all except the Florida Mottled Ducks at Tuscawilla Park in Ocala.  The small group of Mottled Ducks was spotted at one of the golf course rainfall retention ponds here in the development where I live.  The Musvovies and the Pekins are domestic (farm) ducks but the others are all wild ducks.   Please click on the thumbnail image to see the larger photo.  Enjoy!

  3. I just love all the ducks.. Especially the cute Whistling Ducks..The Wood Ducks are beautiful and I have never seen the Pekin Ducks.. And the Mottled Ducks would be a lifer for me.. Great shots, Have a happy weekend!

    • Hi Eileen, The Pekin Ducks are farm ducks that either are descendants of loose ducks or were themselves released or escapees. Parks with ponds— what can I say? The Mottled Ducks are neat and remind one of Mallards. Pleasant ducks all. Have a tremendous weekend!
