Just another WordPress.com weblog about Nature and Wildlife

DSC_3824This little park is a municipal park in the small Florida coastal town of Carrabelle.  At the front of the park is a fenced-in playground for young children.  At the rear of the park there are two small ponds.

I especially enjoyed seeing the fun sea serpent sculpture in one of the ponds.  The ponds are evidently home to the Great Blue Heron and the two hybrid Mallard Ducks.  There were quite a lot of lilies and water plants in the ponds.  I like that little park which is right on the main highway though town.  There is a bench for parents who are supervising their children and a small parking area.  I took these pictures on May 21, 2015.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the slightly larger version of that photo.  Enjoy!

  2. Hello, I almost missed this post too. I am not sure what is happening with my updates. I love the heron shot and the cool sea serpent sculpture. Great photos, enjoy your Sunday!

    • Hi Montucky, I liked the little park although most of the appeal would be the little play area for Pre-schoolers and very young Elementary kids, say up to about 7 or 8. The pond was pretty but had lots of lilies. I did like that sculpture, the fountain and the water birds. Have a great Tuesday tomorrow!
