Whistlers on Wednesday

I spotted some Black-bellied Whistlers lounging around the banks of a small backyard pond the other day and snapped these pictures.  This is a pond that I have occasionally stopped at in the past couple of years.  It is located in Northwestern Marion County, Florida.  I took all of the pictures in the last week.

I also took photographs of the ducks in flight in Lake County, Florida at a small lake.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see a slightly larger version of that picture.  Enjoy!DSC_6935

  1. They are so pretty that I understand why folks want to protect their species.

  2. love ’em. we have a small family that hangs around here these days. i think they were the ones raised on the pond in late summer and they’re choosing to stick around a while.

  3. I love the Whistling Ducks, they are so cute. Great shots. Enjoy your day!
