The Blue-grey Gnatcatcher

This tiny cutie is a Blue-grey Gnatcatcher.  The Gnatcatchers are lovely useful migratory visitors here in my area of Central Florida.  These light grey birds flit around my Live Oak Trees trying to catch a Mosquito, “No-see-um”, or other small flying insects.

The Blue-grey Gnatcatcher is just about the same size as a Carolina Wren, or a Black-capped Chickadee.   I am very happy to have these little birds here!   Please click on the thumbnail image to see the very slightly larger picture.  Enjoy!

  1. Good morning, they are sweet birds. Usually quick movers too, I have a hard time getting a photo of them. Great shots. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
