Black-bellied Whistling Ducks or Whistlers, have been here for many months now. They are enjoying the quiet waters of the little park lake here in my neighborhood. I am so glad to see them up close. They are quite pretty and fun to watch. There are a number of youngsters among the flocks here. They get along well with the other kinds of ducks such as Mallards, Florida Mottled Ducks, Lesser Scaup Ducks, Hooded Merganser Ducks, and the few Buffleheads and Ring-necked Ducks around.
