Eastern Blue Jay

Eastern Blue Jay

Northern Cardinals, Boat-tailed Grackles, Eastern Blue Jays, Mourning Doves, House Finches, White Ibis, Northern Mockingbirds, and a pair of Brown Thrashers were all spotted here on my street and in a neighboring yard on the next street over in the last week.  Additionally, we have had Eastern Bluebirds, Crows, Chickadees, and Carolina Wrens around.   The finches were rooting around in a lot under construction where a new home is being built.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the slightly larger version of that picture.  Enjoy!

    • Hi Tex, These were the first ones I have noticed in my immediate neighborhood – I have seen a few elsewhere in the community. Sorry you don’t have them in your area of TX. Have a tremendously nice day!

  2. Hello, what a great variety of birds. The Thrashers and Mockers are a couple of my favorites. Hope you day is great, enjoy the rest of your week.

    • Hi Eileen, Those sassy Northern Mockingbirds really are fun to see around my yards. They nest next door so they are around my home often. I have just recently been seeing the Brown Thrashers at a neighbor’s yard and at our neighborhood park. So glad you like them. Have a fabulous Thursday!

  3. It’s interesting to see such a large number of species. I’ve seen more blue birds here lately than usual.

    • Hi Montucky, Mountain Bluebirds are lovely little birds. Glad you have bluebirds in your area. Yes, Florida seems to be a hot spot for bird watching and my own area is really full of birds. Have a great day tomorrow!
