    • Hi Tex, That Great Blue Heron was pretty aggressive towards the Little Blue Heron a few moments before I snapped this picture. Both were hunting for dinner in the same area of the lake. Guess that larger bird put the little guy in his place. There is a pecking order and size apparently wins. Have a fabulous Thursday tomorrow!

  2. Hello, I love all the waders. Is the Egyptian Goose an escapee, I did not think they were native. Great photos and post. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

    • Hi Eileen, You are correct that the Egyptian Geese are not native the the USA. Nobody exactly knows how they arrived but originally they were brought here for some reason by land owners. Now some are breeding pairs but the population state-wide still is quite low. Have a fabulous Friday tomorrow! Thanks for your always appreciated comments.
