A Snowy Egret Looking for a Tiny Home?

DSC_2202

This Snowy Egret was not really looking for a real estate deal but likely was simply perched after being inquisitive about the contents of the bird house.  I have seen a pair of Eastern Bluebirds in this house so I think something on the order of fast food was on the mind of that wader!  Yikes!  But, that is nature.  It is a fun-looking picture, though!  I took these pictures here at a little neighborhood lake on Jan. 6, 2016.  Please click on the thumbnail image to see the slightly larger picture.  Enjoy!

Tufted Titmice Along the Lake

Tufted Titmouse are such an adorable little birds.  They are brownish grey with a tuft or topknot on their head.  The Tufted Titmice like to fly around in small flocks.  They are quite social.  The Tufted Titmice eat seeds, small berries, fruits, and small insects.  I took the pictures of the Tufted Titmice and the bird house a few weeks ago.  That bird house is in a neighbor’s yard.  I took the pictures of the Titmice eating at my own back yard  bird feeder within the past several days.  Please click on the thumbnail version to see the larger photograph.  Enjoy!
