Deer and More Deer in Beautiful Cumberland County, Tennessee

I am so jazzed!  For the second evening in a row, at twilight, we have seen White-Tailed Deer!  Tonight (Thursday Sept. 16, 2010), we saw a Buck at one wooded spot along a road in the boonies here in our community.  A few minutes later down the road a mile or so, we saw a herd of two Bucks, one Fawn, and one Doe in the driveway and on the front lawn of somebody’s house!  There are several golf courses and lakes in our community with lots of forests, and small creeks or brooks.  Our community here has defined neighborhoods plus many sparsely developed areas.  The deer are usually near the golf courses or near the more undeveloped areas.  Of course, tender, tasty lawn grass and those lovely landscaping plants and vegetables are hard for any deer to resist!  Hence, the deer in front yards, driveways, side yards and backyards.  Most here don’t have fences surrounding the yards so deer come and go easily.  I again took these pictures from the car.  Please click on the thumbnail version of the photo to see the larger picture.  Enjoy!
